What if you knew one thing you could do to turn your life around…?
Everybody ordinarily gets thrilled with a message of hope
especially at a time when we thought that all hope is lost. We are humans and
we experience ups and downs of life, we go through life threatening situations
and earth seems to be working against us and we often ask why or wonder how.
But in the end our quest boils down to one thing, our hope
hinged on one thing and our faith and confidence are directed towards just one
thing and that is A DESIRE TO BE BETTER.
This desire propels us to do a lot, imaginable and
unimaginable, sensible and senseless, graceful and wickedly, but if only we
have the secret to getting better maybe we could be satisfied and take solace
in our knowledge acted on.
The ONE THING you could do turn your life around is actually
getting started on a definite tour to turn your life around, YES you need to
just start out. A radical change began in my life when I sat down at age 19 to
ask some decisive questions, questions difficult to answer, questions that I
could not even answer until sometimes 22 years old (3 years latter).
I got started with taking every issues of my life serious
and honing the responsibility for my life, I stopped assuming some factors are
out there determining my destiny, I concluded within me that I am the architect
of my life, I am the story writer and it is the writer that determines where
the story ends not the reader. If my life was a book and I am the author, how
would I like my story to end was a question I’m fond of, and I determined how
exactly it’s going to end every time. Whatever happens in-between was just a
distractor or a scene preparing for the already determined end.
By getting serious with your life, your life is
assured to take a radical turn around, a paradigm shift, a turn of a life time.
Do this 3 things along the way of doing that one thing.
- Take responsibility for your life
- Keep the destination at heart always… preferably as much as you can, draw the future on a place you could see it every day
- Believe in luck but don’t chase it, only prepare as if luck doesn’t exist: in reality, time and chance alone happens to all things, and only wish luck fall on your path. I will be very straight with you, there’s something called luck but as Abraham Lincoln said “I will prepare and one day my opportunity will come” what he meant to say is one day luck will fall on me for I have prepared for it. You also need to prepare for luck.
Always ask yourself the question, “If my life was a book and I was
the author, how would I want the story to end?”
