3 things to start doing to make your life better

Everyone wants to live a better life Half don't know what to do Half won't do what they know What you do with this 3 things will determine the which category you all into Here are the 3 things to start doing to improve your life. 1. Meditate more The power of medication is often belittled or unsung. The pages of history show us however that men of meditation move the human race forward. From Jesus to Mohammed to Buddha, from Plato to Marcus Aurelius to Albert Einstein, from Steve Jobs to Elon Musk to J. P. Morgan. History is full of names. 2. Read more You can imagine I won't omit this on this 3 lists. There is a reason why you will hardly find any admirable wo/man who has attained phenomenon who will not make reference to books being one of the foundations of their life. From Buffet to Opara, Joyce Mayer to Bishop Oyedepo. The pages of history and will bear witness to my claim. 3. Let go more You need to manage your energy well. In the work of Mark Manson, you n...

We get better only by doing

Hardly will you master a thing by thinking about it. Oh! No, I should say it is impossible to master a thing by thinking about it. You have got to be doing that thing on a continuum, except what you want to master is the Art of Thinking. While I do not necessarily believe the principle of 10,000 hours has made popular by Malcolm Gladwell, I do agree for a fact you've got to get your hands dirty if you will ever master a thing. We get better only by doing Remember Thomas Edison Remember Tony Heish Remember Eric Ries Remember Abraham Lincoln Remember the host of your heroes and heroines, they attained only by commitment and consistency. Get better by doing, not by thinking. Theory without Practice is barren.

Don't stop doing

I have failed far too much on a number of things. The irony of this is, they are things that I covet success on greatly, but maybe not great enough. I started a Leadership Campaign back in the university after being exposed to the power of leadership and how to achieve the phenomenon through leadership, I failed at it. I started a Community to help individuals maximize the offerings of the digital era after being a first-hand beneficiary of what things a person can accomplish with the right orientation. The first cohort was successful but it also marked the end. I started a For-Profit organization with the principal goal of helping individuals bridge the wide gap that exists between academia and industry. I had a taste of challenge that sent me off my foot and though I made a fair share of success on this, the long run which was not so long has rendered the seeming success to naught. I applied to write for a premium digital publishing organization, I was rejected on a relatable pre...

Lessons of leadership from Art of War by Sun Tzu

The subject of leadership is a perennial long subject of puzzle, there is no one acceptable definition for leadership for all situation, there is no one set of leadership principles for all situation and to everyone, if asked will have an opinion of leadership. Suffice me to say also that the subject of leadership has gone through a lot of empirical studies that have produced concepts like 7 attributes of an effective leader, Inclusive leadership, and irrefutable attributes of an outstanding leader among others. The ancient Chinese war strategy book; Art of War offers another interesting perspective on leadership from a military standpoint which I found relevant to leadership at all levels. It defines leadership as a matter of intelligence, trustworthiness, humaneness, courage, and sternness. In my opinion, this by far a more encompassing definition of leadership you will ever come across. A leader should have all these 5 virtues if s/he will indeed be a leader over the led. "...

Everyone talks about technology taking on our job: is that really so?

What might be an unpopular opinion is that's not going to be the case. Yes, technology will not take our job. What we will rather experience is a shift in job distribution. What do I mean? There is a sense in which at the advent of every technological breakthrough we tend to have this period of fear about what and what the future will look like, and many times it always tends towards the human at disadvantage. At the same time flipping through the pages of history we realize that that has never been the case, we only go through a shift in distribution. Shift in distribution A typical supply/demand curve only experience a shift when factors that were beforehand held constant refuses to remain constant in the interplay of things. So also is it about our jobs, as demand or supply (measured on a macro level with GDP) they will always be there and what we do is only what is changing, hence a shift. We will always have something to do but how we do it and what we do w...
